1. Our Core Commitment
Unlike traditional conversion platforms that retain documents for hours or days, FreeDoc operates on an ephemeral execution architecture. We do not store, copy, analyze, or train machine learning models on any customer documents.
2. How Documents Are Processed
- When you upload a PDF, it is held temporarily in isolated container memory.
- Our layout engine parses paragraphs, tables, and typography into Microsoft Word OpenXML (.docx).
- The resulting file stream is sent directly to your browser for download.
- Both the source PDF and generated DOCX are securely unlinked and purged from our servers within milliseconds of the connection closing.
3. Zero Account & PII Requirements
We do not require users to create an account, register an email address, or provide credit card information. We collect zero Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to use our conversion services.
4. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
Because FreeDoc does not retain personal records or user files, our service adheres strictly to GDPR and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) standards.
